Enjoy the step by step directions

Great efile for Fed, poor mail file for state

Your file by mail for state was VERY POOR. I finally had to print my file manually to get a copy for the state filing. Once I filed electronically for the federal (absolutely no problem there), it always went back to efile for the state as well. Kept getting hung up in what seemed like "loops", always returning to where I had been just a couple of screens before. I also experienced some minor difficulty in going back and editing some entries such as typos, but not to the point where I was unable to correct my error, got frustrated, or just gave up.
What's great about it: Great job as usual walking through all phases of accounting
What's not so great: Poor job of mailing state; kept infinite looping

The Best Way to Understand Your Taxes

Sure, you can take all your information to a Tax Service, and hope that they get it right. You will learn nothing about how your taxes are calculated and how you may be able to reduce them. TurboTax allows you to learn how your taxes are calculated and then proceeds to show you how you may be able to reduce them.
I have learned so much about how to reduce my tax debt. I didn't read any books or go to any seminars. I just used TurboTax as my guide.
It puts a smile on my face when the TurboTax summary tells me that my effective tax rate is under 10%.
What's great about it: Way better than handing a box of receipts to an accountant
What's not so great: I haven't found one yet
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

The 2012 TurboTax Deluxe software is the best version I've ever used. Absolutely pain free.
Thank you TurboTax for calculating my lease inclusion amount this year! The manual process used to take 20 minutes to calculate a tiny, but mandatory, reduction in the vehicle lease deduction.
What's great about it: The 2012 TurboTax Deluxe software is the best version I've ever used. Absolutely pain free.

I had to take care of our taxes this year after my husband passed away suddenly and unexpected last year. It was very easy for me to follow turbo tax and complete our taxes with no problems.

Found Pension Deduction

Turbo Tax found the new dedcuction through the renewal of a Pension Act that gives deductions for paying for medical insurance through Pension payments
What's great about it: Throught the questions asked Turbo Tax found a deduction for paying for medical insurance through Pension payments
What's not so great: When I asked questions "in the community" nobody answered...after my own investigation in Google I found the answer
