This was a breeze

I really liked the clear explanations the software provided through links. The individual screens were not bogged down with a lot of unnecessary information. When I had a question regarding something, it was easily found.
One thing that particularly irked me was the fact that there wasn't a TurboTax worksheet to determine job search deductions. I had to make calculations on my own and find information on my own in order to include the deduction.
What's great about it: Explanations, Ease of Use
What's not so great: Job Search worksheet

2012 version -- not as good as years past
on March 27, 2013

I have been using Turbotax since before e-filing was common (and supported by the software)-- maybe 15+ years. I am very used to the program and could probably use it in my sleep.
Now, after so many years I am considering changing software for next year's taxes. You used to be able to compare information from the previous year's taxes-- things like charitable deductions, income... Now all of the sudden, this disappeared.
If intuit does not bring this back, I will choose different software next year.
What's great about it: used to using the software and
What's not so great: Previous year comparison gone!

2012 review
on March 27, 2013

during review process, told there was a missing Payer ID and to check Fed return. I checked each entry for income 3 times without finding. This could have been better worded in that I had no W-2 income and therefor the program could have identified specifically that fact. Problem was not in missing payer ID but rather failure to check box Neither had W-2.
What's great about it: Step by step question process,
What's not so great: ambiguous notes
