Might as well have done it manually

I had last year's TT in all its manifestations right in the same file as this year's. Yet, this year's TT did not transfer last year's files no matter what strategy I used. Either it doesn't work or it's too difficult to do. And that's the reason I bought TT in the first place. So now that I have to retype and look at my hard copies anyway, I'll get TAXACT for free!
What's great about it: did the math
What's not so great: couldn't transfer last year's TT files so had to do it manually

Turbo tax makes tax time a lot less stressful.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, and had help when I had questions.

TAX Returns

I am filing my tax returns since last seven years using TurboTax and never looked back for any other ways of filing taxes. The software is very helpful and guiding every aspect of the taxing situations I have. The could find all the answers from the help files of TurboTax. I stongly recommend this software for individual returns.
What's great about it: Very Intuitive and Guiding in every taxing situations
What's not so great: Nothing

Software That Really Is Easy to Use!

I use to labor over the paper copies and the convoluted calculations on the tax forms and dread every step of it.
But with Turbo Tax, completing our tax return is a breeze! I work with software development and regard Turbo Tax as the model for user-friendly and intuitive software!

I have been a user of Turbotax for years. It only gets better to use each year. It is the right program for my situation. I recommend it to everyone. I only look forward to using it each year.

Never Ending Questions

This year it seemed to take twice as long to complete my return. It was annoying to go back to the summary after EVERY section, whether any data was entered or not. And I would have to scroll to the bottom of that page to be able to continue to the next section. Printing and saving copies of the documents was also disjointed. I was also surprised at the increased cost to e-file my state return. Not worth the expense. I think it would be helpful to see the forms as part of my progress so that I can also review the IRS instructions as I go along. The "clever" tone of the instructions was annoying, too. Filing tax returns will never be fun.
What's great about it: Easy to e-file using info from last year's return
What's not so great: Spent too much time on not applicable questions
