TurboTax Federal & State Deluxe

After years of being "overcharged" by a local tax business to prepare our modest tax return we decided to return back to using TurboTax. If one is organized with documentation; total numbers needed to fill in the "blanks" on the screen...the math and all the numbers are processed by the software for correctness and error free processing. TurboTax is so much easier to use than manually penciling in needed information. Great Product for all taxpayers to use!
What's great about it: Easy to use with all the tips you may need to file
What's not so great: None for my tax prep needs

Complex return

I need to calculate separate tax liabilities for my wife and I e3ven though I file a joint return. This means I have to eter all the data 3 times. It would be convenient if Turbotax had a way to give you the individual tax return information once you had entered the joint return information.
What's great about it: Allows comparison of individual and joint returns
What's not so great: Dfficult to compare separate reurns

Turbo Tax is the best thing about filing taxes each year. Its a step by step process that is easy to follow; It guides you to explore every possible deduction; It does all calculations; checks for accuracy; Conducts reviews for completeness; Rates your risk for audits provide audit support.
What's great about it: Step by step, exploring every option to guide you to every deduction.
What's not so great: Taxes, nobody like taxes and the filing system.

I have been using this for a number of years. I am confident that the data is accurate. I am a CPA who doesn't specialize in taxes, so I am glad to have found an easy to use tool.
