Turbo Tax - Awesome software!

Turbo Tax is easy to use. It guides you every step of the way. It asks you the questions to get you your best refund,
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Hard to go back to a particular place in the process

I've used Turbo tax for many years now & it's always been very user friendly and very helpful finding deductions. I will use for many years to come.
What's great about it: Walks you through everystep

the support when required has been halpful. there is a need for text to guide users to complete the returns.

Excellent...But...

So I have used TurboTax for over a decade - and I will use it again... It's great to use, generally very accurate, and I have never had a significant problem.
But here are four specific issues:
1. When you open up there is a screen asking for my contact details so you can stay in touch with me. I filled that out the first time, but it kept coming up every time I opened the program, then popped up and said "are you sure you don't want to fill it in?" when I tried to skip it. Just annoying - please fix this.
2. Your information on the SEP-IRA is wrong. When I went to read the pop-up box describing how to calculate the contribution, it said "take 1/2 of the amount of FICA on Line 27 of the 1040". That is WRONG since Line 27 has already been reduced. Ironically, when one finds the IRA worksheet and asks the program to calculate the maximum automatically, it does it right...
3. It was impossible to find SEP-IRA in any of your search functions...
4. In the Massachusetts return, your Schedule SC, for the Septic System Credit, is wrong - and tried to give me yet another year of credit (which I did not deserve). I had to go back to all of my last four returns to check that...

So great program , but it can use some fixing tyo make it even better.
What's great about it: Very easy to use in general, have been a satisfied user for years.
What's not so great: Annoying login screen, a not very functional help search, and several actual errors in the program that I had to fix

Not sure if it was just because it was the first year I tried to file my taxes myself or if it was the software but I was a little confused and had to have my mother help me.
What's great about it: Easy to file
What's not so great: Little confusing for a first timer

Cost effective way of completing your taxes

Turbo Tax is relatively simple to use especially if you have used it the prior year. All the relevant questions are asked which aids the average person in completing an accurate tax return. I have been using it for about five years and so far I am very satisfied.
What's great about it: Easy to understand
What's not so great: Can ask unnecessary questions
Pros: I bought or sold investments
