Better than paper

Time saving tax prep

I love using TurboTax. It gives me peace of mind that the forms were filled out correctly and I received the max refund without having to read pages of tax instructions. I have used TurboTax for many years and have never had a problem with either the state or federal filings. The only issue I have is the cost. I feel I am already paying enough in taxes and there should be no charge to file. But, the TurboTax folks need to make a living too and the value is as stated above - it simplifies tax filing, gives you peace of mind and saves time. Time = $. Also really like Intuit's free "It's Deductible" on line.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and use

Electronic filing is the best

I've recommended it to all my children without a reservation. I feel you can do a better and more honest job than you can with an advertised tax preparer. I was audited only once when I made an error by \forgetting a $15 item of income. Auditor was overwhelmed by how accurate and complete my return was.
I'm using a copy of my return to easily estimate my potential 2014 CA State taxes when I move back there in late 2013 (NV has no state Tax)

What's great about it: Complete, Error checking isgreat, no papers to mail
What's not so great: a bit too automated for someone who has been filing for 50 years

I have used Turbo tax before and this was the first year that I had worked out of the state I presently reside. I was upset because I needed to do 2 state returns, and thought I owed my resident state a lot of taxes. After following the directions provided by Turbo tax, I was happy to find out that we did not owe any federal or state taxes. Thank you Turbo Tax for getting me through the stress. :)
What's great about it: Walks you through the obstacles and makes everything clear by the time you are ready to file.
What's not so great: If you read the instructions carefully while they ask you questions, there shouldn't be any cons.

Simple, Quick, Easy!

Turbo tax is a simple way to complete your tax return. It calculates deductions that you don't even know about to help in getting you the most money back. It incorporated deductions that I had not thought about, but the questions it asks walks you each step of the way through.
What's great about it: simple, quick, easy, detailed
What's not so great: wish had a free state file included also
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Product

I've used TurboTax for 7-8 years now and like the fact that if I have an unusual situation, it will guide me through. If I have a fairly simple return, I can explore on my own and not answer every question. I like the fact that when I am finished, it does a comprehensive review and guides me through fixing any problems. It gives me the confidence to do my taxes myself and saves me some money.
What's great about it: Let's me choose whether I need a guide or can explore on my own.
What's not so great: It doesn't make me file on the 15th if I don't!!!! LOL!

Easy Income Tax Filing

Turbo Tax really makes it easy to do taxes.
It gets the data from last year,
It picks up information from all the places you have money
and it fills in areas you do not understand.

What's great about it: Put in all the places you get income and everything is automaticly put into tax format.
What's not so great: Didn't compare our return results to other returns.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
