Just finished - it was a breeze

Just finished the return for 2012. This will make the third return were I have used Turbo Tax, and each year it gets easier to use. We now have all appropriate documents at hand prior to starting, and we finished in one short afternoon session. Took a couple of days to return and review, making sure we got all refund for which we qualified. Then submit, and relax. I have use other brick and mortar companies, but those were days when the return was more complexed, operating a business, etc. I recommend the program!
What's great about it: Easy link to past records. Lead me point by point through the process. Allowed easy edits upon review.
What's not so great: Actually took me one return to gain the confidence. Quirky at first.

I've been using TurboTax since 2005, and it gets better every year! The explanations, especially of complex topics like capital gains/losses, really help me to confidently complete the returns.
What's great about it: Good explanations, easy to use, step-by-step
What's not so great: None

Great product

I have used this product for years and never use any other. I remember what it was like to fill all the forms by hand and with a calculator and I sure would hate to go back to that. Thank you for an awesome product.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax does the work for me.
What's not so great: I know of none

Pleased with the flow of the process and more user friendly.
Addresses, info etc. used in multiple places was utilized and did not have to force it....such a multi-purchasing.

The errors found in forms process is still too cumbersome. The dialog is not yet friendly enough to make this process easy as it should be. If there is an error on form xx, the form should display and the suggested fixes show on same screen.
Overall, the Turbo Tax process gets better and more user friendly each year. Thank you.
What's great about it: improved over last year and process even more streamlined

Getting more difficult

I've used Turbotax (and MacinTax before that) and it's helpful to have last year's data transferred. Each year, the entry of new data seems to be a bit more obscure than the previous year, and error messages ("you need to enter an amount here") do not link easily with the form so it's hard to tell what data they need.
What's great about it: Steps you through everything.
What's not so great: Takes you to worksheets withoug referencing forms.
