Will Continue to Use Turbo Tax

I was able to locate the issue with the 'invalid signature' on launching Turbo Tax after a system restore. I did not know that the Add/Remove feature of Windows XP even had a Repair capability. The Repair worked and I was relieved that the software was again operational. I also liked the instructions such as 'enter a minus sign' when the hardcopy form had parenthesis.
What's great about it: Likes the summary screens. Appreciated the REPAIR capability which I used after a RESTORE
What's not so great: Form K-1 fields did not always appear to match the form

10 years of TurboTax

I've been using TurboTax since 2003, and after the first year I found it to be very easy to follow. I got divorced last year, and I expected headaches using TurboTax this year, but it was easy. Also, I really like the helpful comments throughout the process. Unlike so much of technology, TurboTax lets me know whether an item is uncommon, or if I should really take a look at a particular area of my return. It doesn't say unhelpful things like "Press Back to go back." Most importantly, perhaps, I've always gotten a good refund, and the one time I was audited, TurboTax had warned me, and the process was painless, even though I didn't use the protection service.
What's great about it: Thorough and detailed guidance through the forms. Help that is actually helpful in determining "why" and not just "what"
What's not so great: Seems to try to nickle-and-dime me at the end of the process.

Simplified tax preparation

Overall I have a good experience with Turbo Tax and that is why I choose this program every year to file.
What's great about it: made many aspects understandable
What's not so great: confusing when having to print returns for different states that were not able to be efiled

RRB 1099-R is different from the way Turbo Tax wor

RRB pension is Tier 1 & 2. #2 is pension #1 is treated same as SS funds.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: RRB 1099-r does not all go to pensions

This program is good for peope not wanting to pay crazy fees to prepare your inome taxes.
What's great about it: inexpensive, pay debts online
