Taxes are done!

I have been using TurboTax for many years and find the service works well for my tax situation. Amendments were easy to do in the past.
What's great about it: Answered all the questions. The program picked up areas I missed while recording the data.
What's not so great: E-filing for Federal is OK but the State cost $. Cheaper to mail both.

It would be good if you could go to a specific item on a list of income and expenses/deduction items and make a correction instead of having to page back to a certain area or go to the tax return and override a specific item to change it. In past years you had a list icon and you could key in on that item or area and make corrections much more easily.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate the system
What's not so great: Would be very good if you could go to a specific area of items to make corrections

I've used TT for years. All I can say is "Why fix it if it's not broken?"
What's great about it: Clear, concise instruction. Like the humor.
What's not so great: Retirement income caused a little commotion. But nothing the "Community" couldn't handle!

Why?

The actual preparation went very well, although I had to re-enter Social Security a time or two because all was considered taxable at first.
The huge problem was in getting the printouts I wanted , when I wanted them. After I finally got each form I needed I made copies. Then I wasted a lot of paper getting forms I didn't need. There was a similar problem last year which was fixed near April 15. Can't this be made easier?
What's great about it: Got both Federal & State Completed in one day
What's not so great: Took another week to print, file and save

So Easy!

I love this software because of its ease of use. The only glitch in it is that for this year and last, it wants to transpose my wife's and my income, giving me the largest amount rather than her when it computes the state taxes. I have to go back in and manually switch them to the correct individual.
What's great about it: Automatically fills in all my info from prior years.
What's not so great: Keeps wanting to put my wife's income under my name.
