I would recommend Turbo Tax to everyone it does a great job of asking questions and finding those deductions and credit you may not be aware of.
What's great about it: Turbo tax found tax credits I didn't even know I could get.
What's not so great: E-file of state returns cost is high
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Facts on Turbo Tax

I was nervous to use Turbo Tax because I've always paid someone else to do my taxes. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this program is to use. I will never again pay the unrealistic filing fees to someone else when I can do it myself & save a lot of money & aggravation. I also don't have to worry about sitting for long periods of time, in an office with a bunch of potentially sick people all waiting to get their taxes done as well.
What's great about it: Very thorough and easy to use. You don't have to wait in the cheap plastic chairs & listen to all the babies crying.

Easier Every Year

I have always done my own taxes, and now I use Turbotax every year because it is so easy. It saves lots of time too. I used to spend hours filling in forms, etc. I recommend it to my family, friends, and anyone who asks about tax filing.
What's great about it: It loads last year's info, finds deductions, and saves time entering data.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have done taxes on Turbo tax for 15 years or more. When I had a tax attorney look over our taxes several years ago he could not find enough to change to do anything different.
I would like more ability to look at some choices for my self. The chances to see all of the forms is no longer there or at least I have not found them. We do some changes of bill paying to reduce taxes and I would like more flexibility available.
We are retired and have been for 20 years.
What's great about it: Easy Step is great.
What's not so great: Ability to access forms not used in my taxes.

Very Helpful

Turbotax was so much easier than making an appointment and going into an office. Being in the military, time efficiency is important and being able to do taxes on my own time and as quickly and easily as turbo tax is amazing! Not to mention the service was incredibly nice and helpful! Thanks!

Fast and Easy

Like the guided tour format for step by step inputs. Easy return to input more info from banks or brokerages that arrive later. Have used it for years now and always been satisfied with the result knowing I have the lowest tax or max refund possible.
What's great about it: Like having a tax consultant sitting by your side
