Another great TurboTax experience

I've been a Quicken user for 20 years and a TurboTax user for 16 years. Your products are great and add a sense of manageability to a crazy tax code. The use of data carry-forward and interview questions to streamline all those worksheets and forms into a workable flow is amazing. Keep up the good work!
What's great about it: The carry-forward of prior year data is a great time saver.
What's not so great: Having to indiividually purchase multiple state products; it should be a single price for access to all state products.

State taxes

When trying to access the 2 states I needed, the software kept taking me to the point of purchase. I never was able to get to the state filings for completion & sending electronically. very disappointed.
What's not so great: Not user friendly.

Good Software to use for Tax. Easy to use.
Still quite costly for a one time use software. Maybe reduce cost by $5 next year would be good.

The help I needed to file and edit my taxes were very helpful. Very detailed so I could get all my money back due me.

The US tax code is a complete mess. It would be impossible to complete your annual federal taxes (assuming you are in the 49% who actually pay) without a fine program like Turbo Tax
It's time for a flat tax...eliminate SS, Medicare/Medicaid and Fed Income taxes and instead have all Americans pay a single flat tax....no deductions, no lengthy forms...just simple.
What's great about it: nice interface. Easy button steps you through a painful process in as simple of a manner as possible

TurboTax worked great, just as it has for me the last 16 years. I've always been happy with it. Best tax product out there.
