Awesome and Easy

I needed to file my federal taxes but had several additional forms that I wasn't sure if I could do online. I contacted the online help and they let me know I needed the cd and which particular program carried the forms I needed to file my taxes. It was easy, step by step. This is my 2nd year of using turbotax and first year using the cd. I recommend this as I have used an accountant for the past 20 years and instead of paying an enormous fee, I only had to buy the cd and also purchased the Audit Defense for protection. 3yrs ago when comparing my taxes thru an accountant vs turbotax, I found out the end result was the same and I had been throwing away money for professional fees for years.

What's great about it: Very user friendly, online help was very helpful
What's not so great: Had to buy the cd for particular tax forms

So Easy To Use

I love this program. Have been using it (or it's predecessor) for over 15 years. Completely satisfied. If you can read, you can do your taxes with this program. The only way easier is to pay someone else big money to do it for you. Why do that when this is so easy? Great product (still)!
What's great about it: Completely straight forward and easy to use.
What's not so great: A little harder to find specific detailed info than in the past, but still available.

I used TurboTax for many years starting back in the 1990's. I was lucky to have my daughter prepare my taxes for a few years in the 2000's but the past two years I am back using Turbotax. One issue I found last year and again this year is with the question regarding did I receive any social security benefits in a lump sump for last year or any prior years. Originally I answered the question as asked, but then realized common sense should prevail. Because I am dealing with the IRS, I was not certain common sense should prevail, at first. The fact is that yes I had received a lump sum social security payment for a prior year, but that payment was received a few years back and I had already paid taxes on it, so that payment should not be included in this years tax return. The only other issue I had was with the computation of sales taxes paid to ascertain the appropriate deduction. After reviewing the forms and worksheets I realized the computation did not include disposable income received from a non-taxable disability income. This turned out to be a non-issue for me, because including the additional income did not change the amount of my refund, but I would like to see TurboTax take another look at this, for others.
What's great about it: For the most part it is easy to use and priced correctly
What's not so great: a couple of questions could have been better worded

Great software, never had a problem.....should consider not charging for states e-filing as if person has multiple states they work in they have to pay for additional software to states.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I was able to complete our taxes in one day. The ability to import information from our investment firm was a great advantage. Turbo Tax is very easy to use.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions easy to understand

Great program but needs some refinement.
What's great about it: Seems to cover all subjects, most is easy to use, pretty program
What's not so great: Help section is weak and should be an earlier way to find something on the file itself.
