I thought I was going to be taken to the cleaners but TurboTax walked me through all my deductions and I made it out okay this year. The one area I am still a little unclear about is the Medical Deducation area. Some of the headings/jargon used is unclear to a regular folk like me.
Would I rec TurboTax to someone else? Yep and have done so time and again. When I had a tax preparer look over my taxes to make sure I was doing them correctly, he said that I found all my possible deductions and that he was impressed! Talk about support for a solid recommendation!
What's great about it: Simple to use; most deductions explained well for the layman

Helped Alot!

We use Turbo Tax every year because we trust that we will always get the best refund or owe the least than if we did it on our own. In my opinion, it also goes just as fast or faster than typing out information or organizing receipts etc. for an accountant.
What's great about it: Asked questions I didn't think of previously and filled out the forms much faster than I could have!
What's not so great: Had difficulty navigating to find uncommon income forms

It was really easy to move thru the completion of the process. And when it was necessary to get help it was easy, it took a little longer than I wished but the responders were professional and thorough. Thanks
What's great about it: The ease with which we were able to progress thru the process.
What's not so great: A few minor glitches in completing the forms.

Good, Clean Program

TurboTax Deluxe was easy to use and met my needs. I found the guided process helpful, if a bit cumbersome. Older versions allowed better access to areas of returns through an outline of return areas. The new approach that has the categories listed is not as useful. I found the the help offered within the program linked only to help using the program or to the TurboTax Community. It did not link to applicable sections of IRS documents. Past versions of TurboTax had this feature and it should be restored.
All-in-all, you have produced a very useful and easy to use product. Thanks to all who had a part in making TurboTax.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: No direct link to IRS instruction documents

Easy Does It

I used to hate completing and calculating my income taxes. With Turbo Tax, it's so easy! Turbo Tax does all the math and asks me questions wouldn't have even known to ask so I get the deductions that I'm entitled to!
What's great about it: The glide through experience
What's not so great: can't think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Tax returns simplified

As professional financial officer for many years, I have used many tax preparation software products.
TurboTax is the best.
What's great about it: Easy guides
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
