TurboTax Rocks!

I use Turbo Tax every year, and have had not complaints. I have recommended the use of Turbo Tax Deluxe, the version that includes the State of Hawaii as part of the package. But, alas, some of my friends and colleagues at work still live without a computer, so they have to go to an accountant and pay big bucks to have someone do their taxes each year.
I like the fact that Turbo Tax indicates the risk factor of a possible audit, to ensure that no mistakes were made.
I'm hoping next year, it'll be just as easy to file taxes using TurboTax, cause this year, we Federal Workers are going to get furloughed, and not looking forward to getting less income due to 22-days without pay.

certain amounts are almost always identical - carry this value or ask if it is the same as a previously entered value.

Also if you used a form, like schedule C, in the previous year, you have to delete it manually. check before going to the state return if there are any forms that are not completed. Trying to complete the state return with an incomplete schedule C causes problems.
What's great about it: just answer the questions and fill in the blanks
What's not so great: doesn't prefill fields that are almost always the same and you have to manually delete forms that are not applicable

Easy to use

As long as you have all your documents before you start, Turbo Tax can whip out your federal and state taxes in just one evening. It takes you step by step, question by question until you are through and filing. The interactive help along the way is great at explaining in more detail what the item is refering to so that the appropriate choices can be made. I also like the review at the end prior to filing.
What's great about it: Walks you through each section of the tax form

Overall, very pleased with the product, and will continue to use it annually. Appreciate the fact that TurboTax avoided some of the problems other tax packages had before the forms were fixed by the IRS. Reliable, accurate, thorough. Don't need more than that.
What's great about it: TurboTax did most of the work for me, all I had to do was enter the numbers it asked for from the proper form.
What's not so great: Some of the inapplicable options bogged the process down when I was eager to finish and knew they didn't apply.

Comprehensive Program for Taxes

One of the BEST programs I have used for completing tax returns. Constantly checks and updates program so you have the latest information and forms. Allows a seasoned user to skip through the returns and enter just what you need to without having to go through each item. For those that are just starting out filing their taxes for the first time, it helps them by asking all the right questions and guiding them through the process. I recommend TurboTax to all my friends and family.
What's great about it: Easy to Understand, Fast to Complete, Very Comprehensive
What's not so great: Having to pay for State E-Filing

Easy to use and file taxes

I used turbo tax to file both my Fedral and Stae tax returns.
I have used Turbo tax before, so it was very easy to use. Was able to down load or broker's form. Nothing to enter.
Easy to file.
What's great about it: easy to follow instructions. just answer few questions
What's not so great: Extra Fee for e-filing state return

I've been using TurboTax for 12 years now and every year it seems to get easier and better. Even major life events are handled easily.
What's great about it: It guides me through the process with a series of questions
What's not so great: Concern over reports that my refund would be delayed this year due to a mistake on some college related forms
