Easy as always

The only draw back is how to handle HRA and HSA accounts for multiple family members....Simplify that and you get a perfect score

Family Tax Return

I've been a user of Turbo Tax for approximately 10 years and continue to find it the easiest way to file my families tax returns. It's increadibly user friendly and helps me remeber deductions that i have taken in the past that I maybe elligible for today.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use - shows year of year changes
What's not so great: none that i experienced

Step-by-Step Easy

The process for filling out the forms is an easy step-by-step process. I like that you can stop at any time to gather backup materials or to just take a break and get away for a few minutes or a few days. When you get back you can pick up where you left off. You can also go back and edit any previous entry at any time and as often as you need to. If you don't understand a word or phrase, there is almost always an explaination just a click away without going through the "help" process. I have been using TurboTax since 2002 and the bugs have been pretty well worked out of it. Last year I felt I should use a professional tax preparer because of some major changes in my family's financial matters. I think I might have done just as well to use TurboTax myself but never-the-less for me personally it was good to get back to filing my taxes myself this year with TurboTax. I really don't have anything negative to say about TurboTax. If they could eliminate the state e-filing fee it would make paying income tax almost bareable.
What's great about it: The process is easy to follow and you can edit any item at any time.
What's not so great: A fee is still required to e-file the state tax forms.

Meets my requirements

Works well - streamlined year-over-year. I am happy with this product and will continue to use in upcoming years.
What's great about it: Pulls in data from previous year's returns
What's not so great: Feels a little like you can't tell what is going on behind the scenes.

Could not be easier!

I love how easy Turbo Tax has become over the years, yet it still covers all the bases. I have never had to call technical support with a problem, the software just works!
Some of the help screens for certain tax topics are not as thorough as I'd like, in my view they miss the mark trying to balance overview info versus giving enough details.
State withholding may be different than federal, so the California DE4 would be nice to include.
What's great about it: EasyGuide step-by-step process
