Turbo got it done.

Overall efficient . My only complanint was it somehow deduct medical premiums paid (self employed) on schedule A in itemized deductions But no way to figure out the reason.
What's great about it: It got it done
What's not so great: sometime confused as it does not explain reasons it does things.

Turbo Tax Review 2012

I did eventually figure out how to save data as I exited. I would have liked an easier way to know if my taxes were really e-filed for me. I have used turbo tax for three years. Prior to that, I always completed my own taxes regardless of how complicated my return.
The Montana tax forms are not simplified. Using turbo tax made filing the state return so simple. I would not have wanted to file a paper state tax return form Montana. It was so much easier and clearer by using turbo tax.
Turbo tax has provided greater returns for me. It has found items that I did not know for which we were eligible. It has found additional deductions in itemizing my returns. In the three years I have used turbo tax, I am averaging $300-$400 in additional returns.
Thank you for this program. I will always use turbo tax.
What's great about it: I like the format. It has saved me money on items I did not know that I qualified for and also on items that I forgot.
What's not so great: It was not easy to know how to save my data while in progress.

Love the way it walks you through the whole process. I was able to complete returns for 7 family members with a vast array of filing status and complesities of returns. I have been receiving Turbo Tax for a number of years via the automatic process and love the convenience. You are able to download any IRS updates throughout the process.
What's great about it: Easy step by step process. Able to do multi-levels of returns.
What's not so great: What's not to like.

So easy!

We have used Turbo Tax for several years and this year it seemed even easier. When you use It's Deductible, you can enter each item donated and it will tell you what you can use as a value. Turbo Tax will then enter all the deductions on your return. It's great!

Deductions excellent

Excellent software, best on the market and I've used a couple others. Very easy to use and guides you through with easy questions. Updates so you have latest information before you file. Very easy to e-file also. Using previous years information makes it all the better.
What's great about it: Very through in going through deductions
What's not so great: Selling stock a little confusing but didn't have enough information

Get it- use it. If you do the minimal record keeping the software guides you through each deduction, itemization, and liability like you graduated from some private school and smoke a pipe in an armchair on a regular basis.
What's great about it: Goes through question easily and asks questions in plain text to ensure knuckleheads like me canunderstand.
What's not so great: When selecting help of question memos the response is more like a cloudy google search than slick algorithms the

I have used this product for a number of years and I have seen small but steady improvements each year. I am very pleased with the ease of filing my taxes with this product and I'm confident that they are done correctly.
What's great about it: TurboTax leads you through the complicated forms step by step
What's not so great: Having to pay to E-file state taxes

I use to dread preparing my taxes and it showed by me waiting until the last minute to do them. However, a friend of ours which was a certified tax accountant told us about Turbo Tax and how easy it was. We gave Turbo Tax a try a few years ago and it made us a believer. We have used Turbo Tax ever since and we have managed to get our taxes done weeks prior to the tax deadline. I like the fact that you do not have to be a tax accountant to use Turbo Tax. The easy guide walks you through your return and if you get confused or have questions, you can always click on the "explain this" tab and it will assist you. Tax time around our home is more pleasant and we love how we get our federal refund back so quckly.
What's great about it: I liked the easy guide that walked me through each part of my return
What's not so great: My state return but that is my fault for not withholding enough out.
