Great Easy to use

This program was the easiest to use, especially since I started a business, but haven't had any income only expenses to date.

Still Good After 20 Years

Have been using the software over 20 years first Mac n Tax than TurboTax. Like the step through questions but would like a little bit more explanation on some of them. On state taxes I had several questions and your help did not seem to be adequate, spent a long time trying to find answers on state site.I recently retired, and took distributions from both Roth and traditional IRAs. Was confused by the questions for the 1099s and unsure if the Roth distributions were not being taxed because of all the questions following the entry of the amounts. Would be nice if when you finish the questions there was a confirmation such as: We determined you do not owe tax on this distribution Agree Disagree/Return
What's great about it: Good step through on questions
What's not so great: Not clear until the end that you're going to charge me to file state returns
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Better than a professional tax preparer

After going to professional tax preparers for the past two years (hoping they would find write offs or offer tax planning advice; and never providing either) I went back to TurboTax and am glad I did!
What's great about it: Well laid out and easy to follow

Easy and Clear

I like using Turbo tax because I feel like it covers all areas that I may or may not need for filing. Its easy to use and I think I get as much of a deduction doing on my own as someone else doing it.
What's great about it: The program walks you through and explains every section
What's not so great: Don't accidentally download a state from the CD version - you can't delete it.

FAST AND EASY. I WOULD RECOMMEND TURBOTAX TO ANYONE WHO WISHES TO SAVE ON TAX PREPARATION FEES. AS A RETIRED CPA THE AVAILABILITY FOR REPRESENTATION BEFORE THE IRS FOR A NOMINAL FEE IS WORTH THE COST.

Good Prep Program

Overall TurboTax is a good product, but at times it can be frustrating when you have a specific issue and it just doesn't seem to be easily answered. However, it beats any other prep method out there.
What's great about it: Easy to use, tells you what you need for each form
What's not so great: Sometimes doesnt explain some areas clearly

Smooth as glass!

With the integration of It's Deductible, doing my taxes is really enjoyable if you can believe that statement. I like the way I can quickly enter and save my taxes and do little bits at a time.
What's great about it: This gets easier every year!
What's not so great: Keeping track of my records.
