Solid job of tax preparation

Worked well in general. I had a number of times when my computer froze and I had to restart. I think this was caused by Turbotax.
What's great about it: Step by step hand holding
What's not so great: Help was not easy to access

Overall, Turbo Tax's step by step walk through the process takes the "guess work" out of ensuring the filer get everything that is allowed.
What's great about it: step by step makes the process less overwhelming
What's not so great: takes some experimenting to play with refund estimated tax allocation amounts so as to minimize the Estimated Tax hit

I like the program but needs to offer more help on technical issues such as qualifications on reverse mortgage deductions. There were no answers in the help or community for this issue, but there were others that had asked the same question.
What's great about it: Like all the prefilled info
What's not so great: Needed more info on reverse mortgages deductions for insurance and mortgage interest

Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

Turbo Tax makes doing and filing my taxes bearable again. Every year it gets smarter and makes my job easier. I don't think having a CPA or professional preparer could do a better job.
What's great about it: Importing data from all my financial institutions; It's Deductible valuation of donations.
What's not so great: Help making assumptions about what my questions are.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

couldn't be easier

I've been using turbo tax since the first year it was available. My husband used to do the taxes, he is too cheap to pay someone to do them, and it led to alot of arguements. I could never make heads or tails of the instructions on the tax forms and neither could he, when turbo tax came out I bought it. Idid the taxes that year and have been doing them ever since and guess what, no more arguements about taxes anyway.
What's great about it: I can file my taxes at my convenience in the comfort of my on home.
What's not so great: sometimes the updates take too long to update.

Short form Turbo Tax section to include just the following items:
wages, interest and dividends, (i.e. savings, dividends)
unemployment compensation, social security benefits pensions and other income.
