Easy peasy

Taxes are arduous and frightening but with step by step help and extra checks and audit protection it is comforting to know that there is help available if questions come up
What's great about it: ASked me the questions and has guiding questions if not sure
What's not so great: I was unprepared despite doing this every year. A checklist on CD box would be helpful. Ie. Papers you need to start.

I am a retired accountant that prepared personal and corporate/business returns at a CPA firm and now that I am retired I use and recommend TurboTax to everyone.

My Positive Turbo Tax Experience

This product was easy to use We have been using TurboTax for over 20 years.
What's great about it: Easy to understand the deductions. It was also easy to file online
What's not so great: I have nothing to enter here
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax for years. The ease of use gives me the confidence needed to file my taxes without paying over priced "tax professionals". I will continue to use Turbo Tax year after year.
What's great about it: Ease of filing; Walk through deductions
What's not so great: Buying additional states

The printing function went to the Adobe Reader. You then print from there. Last year, 2011, Turbotax would bring up the Windows printer panel, where you then set copies, black/white, etc. There needs to be an explanation that the actual printing needs to be launched from inside Adobe Reader. It was a little confusing. I had to go back and forth a few times and then figured it out. Otherwise, a good product that I will continue to use.
What's great about it: walks you through the steps, or lets you go direct to a section to make an input or edit.

I love how the program takes you step by step through all deductions and states. It is fast, easy and a snap to complete your taxes yourself without having to rely on someone else to file them for you.

2012 Taxes

I was so upset with 2011 Turbo Tax, I did it by long hand, as we have the Federal Government Retiree 1099 and 2011 just would not work for me. I have used Turbo Tax for many years. So decided to use it again in 2012 and everything went like a whizz and all worked out. Very happy With it.
What's great about it: Worked Great this Year
What's not so great: Not any problems, great help
