I have used Turbo Tax for several years (10+) and will continue to do so in the future. I have refered Turbo Tax to many friends and associates.

State Return Needs Work

Federal return could be completed from explanatory materials provided in the software but state return lacked sufficiently specific information to permit completion of state return without the need to perform independent personal research of state tax law.
What's great about it: Clearly written explanatory materials for federal return; Ease of returning to specific aspects of return for revision
What's not so great: State return explanatory information not presented with sufficient specificity

Easy to follow

The majority of the steps were easy to follow. Not sure why, but this year, I completed the entire process and saved before filing. When I went back to e-file, all the information was missing and I needed to start all over again from the very beginning.
What's great about it: Every subject had a detailed explanation and links
What's not so great: Update wiped out my saved information

Have used Turbo Tax software for several years, and are very satisfied with the product. Appreciate very much the thoroughness and accuracy of the tax returns produced. Appreciate being able to enter some information, then save and come back to the document at a later time.
The processing fee and accompanying screens seem to be a little complicated. Spouse wondered if using credit card would have been simpler.
What's great about it: All information from 1099s input at one time. Carryover information from prior years retained.
What's not so great: Long process of screens to find print review of return.

Easily done

I always use Turbo Tax although it is expensive - it saves me time and anxiety that I will forget something. The instructions are very user friendly and I can always go back and reread or amend something.
What's great about it: step by step directions were very clear
What's not so great: cost of efiling state return

Lightening Fast Taxes

I probably could have prepared my taxes on paper, but I like the feeling of security when using Turbo Tax. I don't have to worry that I missed something because Turbo Tax asks enough questions that I feel comfortable that I got all of the deductions possible.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
