This year's Turbo Tax was everything I have come to expect from Intuit. I have used Turbo Tax since 1994 and will continue to do so. Everything from a quick 1040EZ (me) to a complicated 1040 with itemized deductions (family) is handled by this easy and fun program. You heard me - Turbo Tax makes doing my taxes fun! Apart from a few annoying advertisements, the software is perfect for the beginning or experienced user. One of my favorite features is the personable and intuitive way each step is explained in plain language.
Once I hit "Send," I know my family's information is protected. Turbo Tax has consistently proven to be accurate and dependable. I have never in nearly 20 years of use had an error in my return. On the rare occasion that I had a technical issue, my concern was addressed promptly and courteously. I never felt like I was a bother to them.
After hundreds of returns, Turbo Tax feels like a member of the family that gets better every year. Instead of dreading tax time, I sit down at my computer knowing I have a trusted companion who will guide me every step of the way.
What's great about it: Accurate, Intuitive, Dependable, User-friendly, Fun
What's not so great: Advertisements

My IRS

We have used Turbo Tax for 12 years and have had excellent experiences. One problem we had this year was that we entered data for expense reimbursement with my job. The program was not clear between having a business with exppenses and working for an employer with unreimbursed expenses. We ended up getting into a Schedule C on the state that we did not need and could not get rid of it. Instructions said t go back to federal to delete. That did not work. Ended up checking that it was not to be included with state forms.This drove us crazy for several hours.
What's great about it: Walk thru
What's not so great: Backing data out removeing un-needed forms

frustrating

I had several problems. Starting with importing my brokerage information. The import did not bring in all the brokerage address, zip code information and several other items in check boxes. On the positive side, this was picked up with the error check, but turned out that it would have been easier to have just entered the information manually, as I would have automatically entered the information. Other problem was filling in the bank information for my electronic refund. I mistyped the bank name.
This locked up the pc and I could not change it. I had to actually reboot and then I could make the change. This was very frustrating. I looked for help online, but could not find any. I was on my own in solving the issue.

What's great about it: Did all the calculations

Turbo Tax = Excellent!

Turbo Tax is an excellent tax filing program. Its instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The program double checks for errors before submitting return and comes with a free State efile program.
I have no complaints and will continue to use Turbo Tax

Quick and easy

I work full time and a mother to two children, finding time to do the taxes can be difficult. However, Turbo Tax makes it so quick and easy that I am able to get it done during one nap time. If we were to go and sit with someone to do our taxes I would be paying for their services and a babysitter. Turbo tax saves me time and money. Thank you!
I do wish the start up could be more timely. I understand updates are necessary but it does take a long time each time I open it.

Turbo tax was amazing. I have never done my own taxes and it couldn't have easier. Turbo Tax found me deductions I had never heard of and got me double what I original thought I was getting back. This honestly was a great experience for me thanks to Turbo Tax and my grandfather for recommending it and getting it for me.
