Great For Many Years

Have used Deluxe for many years, and probably won't change to another. But, had some trouble for the first time this year. (1) Missed seeing prior year's data for comparison. (2) Had to upgrade my Mac operating system to even load Turbo-Tax this year. This may have caused (1) problem, I don't know.
(3) Would like to have been able to view 1040 Schedule A, while entering my data. Didn't matter too much since I ended up getting the standard deduction. I hope next year is easier!

What's great about it: Thorughness, reasonable price, safe, and fun.
What's not so great: No prior year data transfer, No Schedule A visible

I appreciate the ease with which you can make your entries in the software. Also, if a change is needed , you can make it and it will make it throughout the return.

Easy, thorough, anxiety free

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and I enjoy the fact that it carries over the information from the previous year and it shows me the income and deductions from each different source so that I am sure to include all of my income and all of my deductions.
What's great about it: Nothing is missed.
What's not so great: Didn't find any.

I think this is a great tax program. I have used it for several years now and just love that it is so easy. My only concern is now that we have an HSA Account....I don't really understand it but plug in the numbers you ask for. I'm assuming it's correct because I am not that familiar with the rules regarding HSA's.
What's great about it: detailed instructions make it easy to complete
What's not so great: Sometimes it's hard to find out where a calculation came from

Overall, I like TurboTax.
Some better explanations on the more specific deductions or wages, not the normal items.
An analysis and recommendations for the next year based on current years numbers.
What's great about it: ease of the software
What's not so great: sometimes a little more explanation on more detailed line items, not the everyday tax stuff

I've been a turbotax user for years. I paid someone to prepare my taxes once to double check and turbo tax saved me more - needless to say, I will never pay someone else to do what turbo tax (and I) can do instead.
What's great about it: Ease of use - leads me through every step
What's not so great: Sometimes I wish I knew what those things were that I'm skipping

Turbotax gets better every year!

I have been a Turbotax customer since 2008 and the program keeps getting better year to year. The interface is intuitive and the help screens are clearly written and descriptive. The program makes head's up suggestions based on previous year's tax returns and e-filing and new tracking apps are great!
What's great about it: Easy carry over from last year, no need to type in info more than once, smart choices guide you, feel secure at review
What's not so great: None - it's like having my accountant on hand 24x7 thru the entire process
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
