I have used TT for many years. I think it is extremely easy to use and keeps improving every year. Great job guys!!
What's great about it: Very Easy to follow, can stop anytime, anywhere and resume.
What's not so great: Dodn't dig into dual State payments

I like TT and have used it for over five years. Love that it automatically fills in info from previous years. Helpful to be able to walk through each section, even if I don't need to use most of them. (Sorry - I can't give tax software an "excellent" rating ...)
What's great about it: Step-by-step instructions; help available; automatically fills in info from previous year.
What's not so great: Specific questions can be hard to find answers for (deductions). Sometimes all the double-checking is too much.

2012 Turbo Tax Returns

I've used Turbo Tax for several years. This is the first time I had multiple state returns. The Missouri State Tax return was a bit confusing vs the previous state. Had to contact each state tax division to make sure it was done right. It turned out Turbo knew its stuff.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: Had some issues with multiple state returns

Thank Goodness for TT

We were forced to take a 401K distribution in 2012, the tax penalty was brutal. However, once we use TT's tools and identified the reasons for our distribution we were able to eliminate the majority of the penalty.
We think TT could be improved slightly by getting both of our previous return info in at the beginning rather than at the end when we went to file.
What's great about it: Easy to understand complicated deductions
What's not so great: Was a little tricky filing married/joint return first time

Be aware of reporting all investiment fees, and that all are entered. The program asks for this, but doesn't appear to use information already provided ie investiment sources.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Does not always ask all the questions, so you have to be aware of information needed and to make sure all is entered.

We have used this program for three years now and it is easy to use and we will continue to use if to file in the future.
What's great about it: I like how everything is simple to use and there is clear direction through topics.
