Been using the product for years. Has made doing taxes a breeze. Will continue to use it as long as it remains so straight forward to use.
What's great about it: ease of use. Just follow the steps. e-file is also great
What's not so great: don't have any. never had an issue.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Better and better

The thing I like about TurboTax is that it seems to get a little better and easier to use each year. The tax laws are so complicated that it is hard to remember how (many) years ago I actually did my taxes by hand by myself. Later I used another software tax preparation aid, but did not like it as well as your product. I like the convenience of e-file for both my federal and state returns at the same time. This makes a tiresome annual task much less of a burden to me.
What's great about it: Intuitive progress from one topic to another
What's not so great: Can get confusing for some more obscure topics like foreign taxes paid

Error Check Problem
on March 25, 2013
Posted by: jkniat
While doing medical expenses, I added OTC Drugs as an other medical and dental expense. After I found that OTC drug expenses without Dr RX is not allowed, I tried to delete. But no delete means were available. So I removed all characters with backspacing and changed amounts to 0.0
This shows up during the error checks and asks me to delete. BUT No means of delete are are evident. Also eFiles are not allowed.
I finally entered the text NONE and was able to file.
What's great about it: Program worked well until you try to delete something
What's not so great: eFiles does not work with a bogus error check

Turbo Tax makes a dreaded job EASY!

Turbo Tax is easy to use. Following the directions helps to get maximum deductions. As my wife retired this year, filing our income tax was more complicated, however, Turbo Tax made it easy by following each step. I have used Turbo Tax for several years, and will continue.
What's great about it: Easy to Use. Helps get all deductions.

Explanation of steps

I have used TurboTax for years. This year was the least clear. Often I would have to move ahead in a section before deducing how or what to enter.
The deductions for donations are not always in alphabetical order. They are not always commonly used descriptions and do not reflect current updated values. Suggest you spend some time researching retail catagories and nomenclature.
Filing k-1 for an investment club is not obvious in the k-1 section. Would be better if you asked for the k-1 items as presented on the k-1 form and not extra things not on form.
What's not so great: lack of clarity
