Made the job lot easier!!

Except for the minor glitch above, this software was a great value. No more working with a fumbling accountant and wasting time.
What's great about it: step by step guidance is awesome
What's not so great: there was a wrong prompt for a state code. fix involved re-downloading the software and possibly doing it over!!

For the most part, this program covers every topic needed to complete a return. My gripe is with trying to file using the "Married filing separately" status. The resources available on the program was not very helpful and I ended up having to spend some time researching how to do it properly. Additionally, if you trade options, it was unclear to me whether I report my sells under the stock section or under the straddles/section 1256 section.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and mostly easy to use
What's not so great: Complicated if you attempt married filing separately status

Turbo Tax is quick and easy way to file your taxes. I have used the product for 3 years and have never had a problem with it. Unlike when I tried do it myself. My only issue is that I wish they would go green. I have all these CD from the previous years and no need of them once my taxes are filed. They should use returning the CD as a rebate or something for those continuing customers. This would allow the customer to save a little money on the program and would save the company money the raw material of producing the CD, rather than filling our landfills with these items (or my closet :)).
What's great about it: Seems easier to plug in the number than last year. I was able to finish my return quicker than all the previous years.
What's not so great: During some of the edits, I could not see some of my previous answers, so I had to re-enter them.

Easy for this nearly 100 year old Grandma!

I was asked recently, "What is the secret to living to be so old?" I replied, "Just don't die!" I believe the more we keep involved and do things, the longer we live. TurboTax has been the best way for me to keep involved in doing my taxes for a few years now . . . and I must admit that I have help from my daughter who is no young spring chick herself!
What's great about it: TurboTax is the best way for me to file my taxes. It is easy to use with a little help from my daughter.
What's not so great: The first day I tried to send the tax report, it would not "go". However, today it did.

I love the ease of use of Turbo Tax. It transfers the data from my previous years returns so I don't need to enter this information again. I have used Turbo Tax for years and it is a easy and accurate.
The only issue I have with Turbo Tax is when processing a return for more than one state it requires you to purchase the second state product before it will let you continue. I wish you could enter the state data for the free state portion of the return without buying the additional purchase option.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax makes filing your taxes easier than ever with step-by-step instructions.
What's not so great: You must purchase another state product if you have lived in another state.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

i have numerous W2-g enries and it would be nice it the program had a way to just put the information in . example name address, phone number,, fin # , type of wager. this added a lot of time to my filing time. thanks.

TurboTax was extremely helpful! I was able to file my tax returns and complete all my forms within a few hours. In previous years, it would take me days to go through the IRS instruction booklets and paper forms, but now I save a lot of time using TurboTax.
