Turbo Tax

I love Turbo Tax. We used to have to rely on a Tax Service Company. Turbo Tax makes deductions easy to follow and makes sense.
What's great about it: easy to follow, uses information from last year

Multi states

I live in one state and work in another the cost of purchase for Federal and one state at the store is cheaper than the price to add on the second state during the preparation
What's great about it: Federal to State
What's not so great: Multi-state expensive

I am very grateful there is a program which the novice customer can actually do their own taxes without paying the high prices thru another tax preparation agency. I feel confident that my taxes are correct, and that I will get the refund that I am owed...thank you very much.
What's great about it: The program walks you thru each area and asks all possible questions
What's not so great: It would be nice if it was easier to understand the questions in simple words

I have used Turbo Tax for years and find it evolving well in this changing tax environment.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate. Questions were relevant and easy to understand. Search questions were answered well
What's not so great: CCA tax for local tax progress should be visible while filling out taxes like the state.

It Is A Good System

Like that system imports information from year to year but it seems I still have to fill in more info manually that was in my returns last year.
Only consistent bug from the over the many years of using the software is that if your tax situation changes like the fact I did not do any self-employment last year but did so in the prior year and indicated that in my responses, but in the review the system still thinks I need to fill out the form for self employment.
This also is true if you make a mistake in your responses and generate new forms, the forms persists even if you go through the responses again to correct your mistake.
Otherwise everything is great.
What's great about it: Easy To Use
What's not so great: Bugs when self employment status changes other situations changes from prior year. Refers to n/a forms in review.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Program

I like the program. Definitely easy to use and I like the fact that you can import previous returns into this year.
I do wish they had some better explanations of some of the tax items but I think I figured them out pretty well. In the past I used the forums to ask questions and I never got a response so I haven't used them since. Definitely gave me the deductions I qualified for as far as I know. Overall a good experience and I will continue to use it in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use, did what it claimed
What's not so great: Still need some specialized tax knowledge,

Took too much time

It took much longer than doing myself. Difficult to figure out how to enter certain items and so many questions, some you can't bypass even though not very important/necessary.
What's great about it: Import feature
What's not so great: Too many questions
