My returns are very complicated, yet I am able to complete them with Turbo Tax. I have extensive tax experience, so I like the feature where I can go directly to the areas that apply to me. But the step by step feature is great for most people.

I am not a tax person but this program just guides you through step by step. It was faster then filling out the paper work and checking the book and getting confused by it all. I am so thankful that they made the program simple to use. I used to dread doing taxes but not now.
What's great about it: Much faster the second year you file because all your main information is in the system.
What's not so great: Can't think of any cons.

Way To Go TurboTax!

I have been using TurboTax to file my taxes for as long as I can remember (probably 10 years) and will never, ever use any other tax preparation software. I have never had any problems with it. My only issue is that when it comes time to print the returns, I noticed that there are duplicate forms or non-essential schedules getting printed. I have tried to select only the forms/schedules I need but I still end up with at least 20 or more pages. Maybe you can streamline the printing process so it won't waste paper, ink and time. Otherwise, TurboTax is the best tax prep software anywhere!
What's great about it: Simplest and most accurate way to file taxes
What's not so great: Printing issues

Difficult 1099 entry

In general the program was easy to follow and helpful in guidance. Navigating to the 1099 area for entering data was extremely difficult; finally got there but have no idea how.
What's great about it: General income/wage entry good/easy
What's not so great: Finding 1099 place to enter data difficult

I have been using TurboTax for as many years as I can remember. I would not think of using and other product. I believe in the saying, "if it is not broke, don't try to fix it." Speaking of fixing it, every year the product seams to be more professional and easier to use. My return is somewhat complicated, which includes rental property, investments and a lot of charitable work. For me, TuboTax Deluxe can handle it all. The kids are gone, the business is sold and I am happy in retirement!
