maybe I missed something but thought in the past you could click on a total amount - such as - total medical expenses - and
get a list that you were able to change if necessary. Didi I miss something?

Fairly painless

We use TurboTax filing jointly with one kid, a small home business and a primary income from an employer. So, W-2s, schedule Cs, some educational credits, home energy improvements all needed to be addressed. This was fairly painless as a method. I'm not convinced gathering all the records & taking them to a preparer would be any less hassle or time, so will stick with this.
What's great about it: Works well enough for a home business and an employed spouse. Helps calculate estimated taxes for the following year.
What's not so great: lots of add-on services advertised throughout, sometimes interrupting flow of filing

This software makes tax prep easy for a busy mom like me, and at 1/2 the cost of a tax pro.
What's great about it: Imports W2, easy entry for other details
What's not so great: Took quite a while to download updates

Easy to use!

Overall the software was very easy to use. The only negative was that the software doesn't allow you to have more than one student associated with a 1099Q disbursement.
What's great about it: Easy to use, good definitions, thorough
What's not so great: Doesn't handle the 1099Q forms very well

i love using turbotax.last year i had several jobs and unemployment and i didnt think i could do it so i paid someone to do our taxes. what a crock i did it myself with no problems for half the money

I have been using Turbo Tax since I purchased a PC Junior back in the mid-1980's. It gets better every year.
