Turbo Tax Deluxe

I have used Turbo Tax to file my taxes for more years than I can remember. It is easy to use because they walk you through all the questions and all you have to do is enter the information that pertains to your individual tax situation.
What's great about it: It was an easy process to file my taxes

This is a great tool for those of us who like to take care of our own simple returns. Why pay someone else, right?
What's great about it: Always like how I have access to previous years returns
What's not so great: If very complex, unique circumstances, maybe use an accountant

Filing made easy!

I have used Turbo Tax for 4 years now and have never had a problem with it. They make sure you understand everything you are putting down and automate as much as possible. It really makes filing as painless as possible while getting you a nice return. It's practically as easy as going to a professional at a fraction of the cost.
What's great about it: Simple and Comprehensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Took care of the whole family!

The family used all five e-files included in the price; nice touch!
The kids (grown) worked through their own returns and I did my self-employment return about as easily as can be.
E-file and direct deposit (even withdrawal, unfortunately) are nothing short of amazing compared to the mail-in process and lengthy processing times for hard-copy checks.
As a former employee of one of those "national tax services", I know that the process is just as complicated and time-consuming with them, and much more expensive!
The saving in .PDF format is very, very useful. Anybody who needs my tax return (home refi, for example) can receive via e-mail attachment. Much easier to review without having to use the Turbo-Tax software as well.
What's great about it: great dual approach - detailed walk-through for newbies and great access to forms and able to move around if you wish
What's not so great: Taxes are just complicated (can you say "government"?). Any approach will have to deal with the complexity.

2012 Federal & State Tax Returns

I've been using TurboTax for many, many years and generally find it easy to use. I struggled with the answers to the questions for Foreign Bank Accounts and for Alternative Minimum Tax.
What's great about it: Was generally very easy to use.
What's not so great: Questions on Foreign Bank Accounts not so easy to understand
