Easier than I expected!

A couple friends of mine recommended Turbo Tax, and they had different situations from each other, and from me. They told me that they use it every year and are very happy with it. I decided to take the plunge and try it (I have always had my taxes done by a national tax preparation service), and I couldn't be happier! Yes, it took me a few hours to get through both my federal and state returns, but Turbo Tax walked me through the whole process, went back and made sure nothing was missed, and checked everything. I am very happy with the ease at filing my taxes this year thanks to Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: The program walked me through it
What's not so great: can't think of any negatives

Taxes Made Easy

I love using Turbo
Tax because I can be sure I don't make a stupid mistake. It is consistently a positive experience from year to year when I actually sit down to do the taxes. E Filing is great and saves alot of hassle.

What's great about it: Information pre-loads from previous years
What's not so great: some calculations are invisible
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

LOVE TURBO TAX

Love TurboTax. I would not use any other way.
I have asked accountants to do my taxes in the past but decided to simply stick with the turbo tax year after year. Not only it does the job but it teaches you points to be organized for the following year. As I keep the files on the same computer year after year, it keeps my IRA and basic information all in there for me. I don't have to do much leg work to keep my IRA cost basis or HSA cost basis, etc, etc....!

I also like the fact that the State return is free. Even though the filing is not free, do it on Turbo Tax, then I go to my ILLINOIS state site and literally trancribe things over what I have already done. SOOOO easy!
Since I itemize my tax each year, this program is a must.

The only way to prepare your taxes! It remembers what you filed last year, asks you questions so you don't make a mistake, has answers for questions you have along the way. Love it!
What's great about it: Great system, answers every question, if you have one at each step.

Great program. I advise getting this even if you know a lot about taxes. There are so many little things you might miss, and this program really helps you to catch all of the little things, before it's too late. You do have to make sure that you go back and kind of force it to recheck everything if you enter new information at a spot other than requested. Other than that, I really like it.
What's great about it: Lets you view your taxes from several angles, so you can get the best idea of what you need to do.
What's not so great: Sometimes is a little sticky. Doesn't always update right away when you have put in new information.

Great As Always

I have been using Turbo Tax since 1999 and I have always had a great experience. I just recently found out that some people were audited by the IRS because their tax preparer did some shady work. I have never had to worry about things like that with Turbo Tax. I will continue to use this product as long as my circumstances allow.
Keep up the good work.

Turbo Tax is very user friendly and it walks you through everything step by step which makes it easy to use. We have used it for many years and have never had any issues.
What's great about it: It walked you through everything and was easy to follow
What's not so great: Some lenders on box 4 of the Mortgage Interest Statement don't clarify what it's for and it's not spelled out in Turbo
