Eases Tax headaches

Much easier than trying to read the old booklet and do the figuring by myself. Have used Turbo Tax for many years. Also makes the state tax form a piece of cake since they transfer almost all information that is needed in my state to get that form filled out.
What's great about it: Simple questions to answer
What's not so great: let me see what I answered last year before answering this year.

All in all I find this is the best tax preparation product on the market.
What's great about it: The Easy Guide...step by step guidance to file my return
What's not so great: I find it is not so easy going back to a specific area on the return

Can't be Beat

I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 10 years and the only minor problems I have had were because of my own lack of receipts or information. It is a GREAT resource.

I like that the program asks lots of questions to make sure you get all possible deductions. However, if you are going through a section because you want to know if you qualify or not and then you find out you do not, I would prefer the system then be smart enough to delete any forms created in the process rather than telling me during the check your error phase which is at the end. Also, there are no instructions on how to delete forms, had to go through the blog and research how to do this as this piece is not very user friendly.
What's great about it: Electronic filing is always a pro
What's not so great: It creates forms which are nearly impossible to delete

Good Experience

Overall good but I think if there was a direct access link to the instructions for the Federal and State forms it would help a great deal. Especially when the Turbo Tax gets hung up on a MA form 1 line 4 Non-Tax Pension block that they put a zero in and the only way to e-file was if you removed the zero entirely. This was trial and error.
The Client forum didn't contain any anwsers only frustrated questions from people with this and other problems. I believe if you wanted a turbo tax personto talk with, you had to pay an additional fee for this.

What's great about it: Very detailed so you take advantage of every deduction.
What's not so great: A couple of places the Turbo tax got hung up on the MA state filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
