I have used Turbo for the last 5 years and it gets better every year. I have a small usiness that i do part time and my day job is a work at home situation. I find the forms very easy to use and the "more info" links are awsome. I sometimes find it a little tricky to navagate and find answers to basic questions, but i think that is more "me" than the software. see you in 2013 . Thanks

Very Easy To Use!

I really enjoyed using this software. I have never done my taxes myself before. I can't believe I have always paid someone to do this for me. This was very quick and easy.
What's great about it: Walked me through every step to make sure I get every deduction I am eligible for.
What's not so great: Have to pay extra to e-file your state return. Then they make it overly complicated to print out your state return.
Pros: I had a baby

Great easy step-by-step process. The Form 1098-T created an issue as box 1, payments received was not completed, only box 2, amounts billed and box 5, scholarships or grants were completed. The chat sites were not helpful in this case. Was not sure where to include the student portion of the payments for 2012.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Education deductions steps could have more clearer

Easy easy!

I've been using Turbo Tax for 13 years and wouldn't think of using another program! I feel confident I'm filing my taxes correctly with the guidance I get from Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Straightforward, offers help if you need it, but not if you don't.
What's not so great: Transfer of some deductions between fed and state forms doesn't allow any changes if they're needed on the state form.

Fast and Easy

Changing from one software tool to Turbo Tax, was nice when the previous years info was able to be transferred into turbo tax software.
What's great about it: Asks all the right questions
What's not so great: its hard to go back and make changes if something was missed

Worked pretty good

Worked good. Site is pretty easy to navigate and figure out where you are. Didn't like all the hassle over the incorrect filings of Minnesota State return - just hope all are now corrected. On the day I wanted to file, I asked for updates to be downloaded and something got corrupted in the update, and I could no longer run Turbo. Took me a long time to get to talk to someone and then longer still to fix the problem.
What's great about it: Pretty good explanations of deductions available
What's not so great: File got corrupted on an update and quit working. Took long time online to straighten out.

TT does not improve w/ age

previous 2000-2010 rental property; great guidance.
Hurricane Irene damage last year 2011 and retirement/health insurance issues this year 2012, I noticed a severe deterioration of guidance. No better the the IRS speak and the community is the "blind leading the blind"

What's great about it: last 15-yrs easy import, average filing uneventful.
