great program

you make it easy for teachers to deduct supplies, etc. make it hard for mechanics that have to buy a lot of tools for the job. other than that , it is a great program
What's great about it: easy to get through
What's not so great: buy tools for work, hard to find where to enter them

It would be nice if when you are going back over your return that the screen defaulted to where you left off on your review.
What's great about it: instructions fairly simple

Fed+ State-

I had no problem with the fed taxes and questions, but when it created the state taxes, it skips straight to the analysis without asking any questions or allowing me to review my state exemptions. I had to look up online what the error questions were so that I could fix the form for renter's credit since I could not even see the state worksheet for CA.
What's great about it: Fed was fast and easy
What's not so great: Ca State never allowed me to see the worksheets.

Another Year Another Easy Task

Great software for tax work especially when you used it in previous years. Remembers most of the routine information so you don't have to add it each year.
What's great about it: Import of information from previous year
What's not so great: Having to print pages that were not used in return

excellent product, was simple and easy to follow. mother is a CPA and told me the completed return was spot on.

I've used this program for many years and it's always been easy to use. This year has been more difficult, not unuseble, but harder than previous years.
Much more difficult to find and go back to previous forms in this year's program. You need a tree on the right side to just pick out where you want to go to, instead of the help info that didn't help much. When I tried to go back and add a second W-2 for my wife I couldn't find the place to go step by step adding the info. Instead I had to fill out the work sheet. All the previous years were very easy to go back and add a W-2.
I also couldn't find the import for the W-2 forms, I don't mean importing info from last year but new info for this year. Had to put everthing in manually which can lead to errors.
What's great about it: works good
What's not so great: I find this years tax program much harder to do things that were easier in all the previous years.
