Short, Sweet and to the Point

One afternoon of sitting at my desk with a cup of coffee and my wife, and before we knew it, our taxes were done and e-filed. Time well spent.
What's great about it: No sitting in front of some person at a Tax Preparation service wondering if they are being "honest"
What's not so great: Trying to find some of the needed tax information hidden somewhere in my wife's desk

Anyone can do it

I have used Turbotax for many years. It's easy, helpful, and anyone can use it. This year i got a good deal on a Turbotax/Quicken combo and so I used the software instead of doing it online. I wish it were easier to combine the two or to upload my 2012 return from the software to my online files. I found the whole thing very confusing.
What's great about it: Easy to use and self explanatory
What's not so great: I wish online and the software coordinated better

I WISH I WOULD OF DONE MY OWN TAXES IN YEARS PAST WITH TURBO TAX. I WOULD OF SAVED OUR FAMILY $$. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.
What's great about it: USER FRIENDLY!
What's not so great: SOME ? HARD TO LOCATE
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use, even for those inexperienced with filing taxes. Explains areas you have questions and concerns about. Love the error checking at the end of the process and the heads up on likelihood of an audit.
What's great about it: Easy to use even for first time filers
What's not so great: None that I can think of at this time.

Only One I have Used

I have used TurboTax for many years and have always found it to be very easy. I have never had a call from IRS.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Comprehensive
What's not so great: Step by Step can get a little tedious. Always have to scroll down to see the last item.

Turbotax is solid but not spectacular, but connects you to the right info

Still Does the Job!

I have been using Personal Tax Edge/Turbo Tax for 20 years. Over that time, it has gotten easier to use and more professional in tone. The errors and points of confusion have been few, though not zero. This year, for example, it raised questions about a Required Minimum Distribution on payments from my defined-benefit pension. Likewise on periodic payments from an annuity. RMD does not apply to either of those situations; it only applies to IRAs! I like the fact that you can print returns and reference material for review and future reference. I also like the fact that returns can be saved in PDF format.
What's great about it: The interview works. The cutesy noises are gone!
What's not so great: Still too cutesy in spots. The word "awesome" is over used.
