Awesome Refund

I'm a simple man not much schooling so Turbo Tax made it easy to work with and fun to earn back money.

What's great about it: It was so easy

Used TurboTax Again

I have used TurboTax for a number of years and will continue to use it in the futue. This year, I found a problem where data on an input screen was not consistent wih the 1040 form. i found the source of my problem and sent an e-mail. However, this is a potentially dangerous situation where someone could inadvertently report an incorrect amount(s) to the IRS
What's great about it: Ease of use; easy to navigate difficult tax situations
What's not so great: Problem between screens and forms

Turbo Tax is so easy to use! Makes taxes fun seeing the refund add up too!
What's great about it: so easy, cheaper than using accountant, love seeing the refund add up!

Love the import feature from previous years' taxes. Simple, easy to understand. Loads quickly and updates are fast. Would we do this again? In a heartbeat!
What's great about it: the walk thru for max refund
What's not so great: you can't go back to where you left off easily

Fantastic experience with the annual reporting

I have been using TurboTax for a number of years as an alternative to my local CPA. Honestly, I wasted money on the CPA. TurboTax is awesome. Easy to use, great interview oriented interface (kind of like what my CPA used to do!). For the price, there is no better. Heck, for several times the price there is no better!
What's great about it: Easy to use, great guidance, excellent help functions
What's not so great: Not always crystal clear that necessary forms were completed

It was extremely disappointing to learn from the state of Minnesota that Turbo Tax was flawed for state filings. The program takes way too long to load, and it asks too many questions for my taste and experience with tax laws and tax forms. I used Turbo Tax years ago and found it awful. I decided to give it another try, and while it's signficantly better now, my taxes are simple enough that I can do them easier and faster by myself on paper. But to be fair, for tax novices, Turbo Tax is an excellent program.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to use
What's not so great: Flaws in Minnesota tax forms, slow to use and too many steps
