2012 Taxes

I've used Turbo Tax for a number of years and never had a problem. I have never had any tax problems that have required a professional and have found Turbo Tax a much easier way to do our taxes.
What's great about it: Fabulous, easy, easy, easy

Quick Process

I have used this for five or more years. Importing last years data is a great help to guide the process so I do not miss anything.
If you file in multiple state, this gets costly. to file in more that one state and is almost as much as a new program. If you can get it on sale, may be worth purchasing another copy.
Also the cost to efile state returns is high.
What's great about it: Easy, straight forward, step by step
What's not so great: Price for additional state filings and e filing state returns

Best way to do taxes

In the past, I have had an accountant prepare my taxes, and I have done it myself with pencil and paper. Turbo Tax easily beats either of those methods. My return has some complications, but Turbo Tax handles them well.
What's great about it: Complete and accurate
What's not so great: Occasionally puzzling
Pros: I bought or sold investments

2012 done and finished

Overall great! User friendly. I know excatly what to do every year...........and I'll know what to do next year.
My inlaws recently started using it and they can't believe they've paid someone to do it all these years.
What's great about it: It takes me a couple of weeks to complete so I like the frontpage and being able to review my previous entries.
What's not so great: When updating, the "OK" and "cancel" buttons are in the same spot. I cancelled multiple times by accident!

Consistent Quality.......

Manually reviewing and checking the inputs in a section is tedious. The software should only take you to screens with relevant input not all the questions you answered no to.....

This is our third year using Turbo Tax and I love it. All our information is transferred from previous years and we can track our donations year round using its deductible. Love this product!

Great Tax Softwae

In my opinion, Turbo Tax is among the best tax software on the market today. It really makes it very easy for anyone to identify and calculate their income and deductions. It also does a good job of providing more information of a tax subject when needed for clarification.
What's great about it: Covers each possible income and deduction that is in effect for each tax year
What's not so great: None!
