Turbo Tax Fun

Turbo tax allows me to complete my taxes on time and to be accurate. It also allows me to understand and look for tax detuctions through the whole year.
What's great about it: Fun to use, Good opertunity to learn about taxes

Still the Best

Turbo Tax is still the best overall tax program for home use. It makes working through your taxes a breeze. It also makes it easier to find every tax break option and gets you to your best return without a hassle.
What's great about it: Makes working through your taxes a breeze
What's not so great: Updates everytime you open the program can be annoying

We always had a tax preparer, the same one my parents used through most of their married life also. Once he took sick we had to find another person to take care of them for us. I decided to take a stab at it and with Turbo Tax it is so simple and quick that I couldn't ask for anything more.
What's great about it: easy, clear explanation, quick

after doing my taxes for my daughter, IRS sent us a letter advising that we could get more refund by using the Earned Income tax credit. We sent in a form to IRS and got an additional $1100 refund. i was disappointed that TT did not direct my attention to that to make sure I reviewed it before submitting.

TurboTax does a great job of walking you through tax preparation. The one thing I wish they'd do is allow you to search for certain forms or schedules easier--like a Google search.

I can't think of anything critical to say about this application. It's like having a tax accountant in your living room. A simple question and answer session asks all the right questions, and in about an hour I had my tax return in hand. Even with a few complications like an HSA and some investment income! I have used TurboTax for over ten years now and have been well pleased, and more so, each year. And because of my history with the program, much of our information is already filled in when I get started. I love how much time this program saves me, and how easy it makes filing and receiving our refunds. Remember completing tax returns by hand, calling the IRS for answers, and waiting for months for a refund check? Never again!
What's great about it: Question and answer format with real life language
What's not so great: None
