Solid as usual

I cannot make an accurate judgement if you have several complicated aspects to your taxes, but if you have relatively simple info then this is very easy to load and follow the guided info

Our tax position has become simpler over the years, and Turbo Tax is right there on the job every year to make it even easier when it comes to filing. We wouldn't even consider changing who we do business with when it comes to tax preparation.
What's great about it: If comprehensive and simplicity can be used in the same sentence, then Turbo Tax rocks!
What's not so great: Our returns are so simple that I cannot think of any issues i would address about Turbo Tax.

Super easy experience

I love the guided return feature! TurboTax helps me to review all possible areas of my return for monies I owe (or where I can get a refund) and I complete the process being 100% confident.

Overall the experience has been positive. The software is very thorough, and for the price it provides a great service.
What's great about it: detailed, organized, multiple options for filing and storing documentation
What's not so great: Q&A could be more interactive, online support etc.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Love Downloads! But Found a Bug?

I have used Turbo Tax for years. I love that it remembers my carryovers and personal information. I finally used the downloads this year from Quicken and my financial Institution. The download process was super easy and straightforward. The only issue I had was that when I had input a few of my stock transactions initially (to get a feel for my taxes before I received all my 1099s), I had not classified them as covered or uncovered properly. I was unable to go back and change them to reflect that my 1099 did not have a basis reported. I ended up deleting all of my stock transactions and then using the download. . . which was so much easier! I will just wait and use that in the future. It would be nice if you added an "estimator" section where we could enter estimates of our main categories - wages, interest, dividends, stock sales, Sch A deductions, etc. that would then calculate an estimate given the tax tables and our carryovers. That would rock!!
What's great about it: Great Directions, Easy Answers

Easy to use.

Turbo Tax is very easy to use. I have been using it for 10 years and it is nice that all information is kept and used in subsequent years' tax returns. Saves time and helps to remind me to carry over what I can from year to year.
What's great about it: Like the step by step process. Easy to use and covers all areas.
What's not so great: The program waited to prompt me to change one thing after I printed and thought I was done.

I cannot imagine someone NOT using TurboTax. The questions cover everything and items I would not know to even ask. Excellent, easy, quick.
