had taxes done by professional for years he died this year so I tried it myself to my surprise it was simple to follow step by step and did it in about 1 hour start to finish with result about the same a really good experience thank you turbo tax

One of the Greatest Gifts To Mankind at Tax Time

I have used Turbo-Tax every year since I can remember. It only seems to improve. I've used both Deluxe and Premier versions and have not been disappointed.
Now, my taxes are fairly straight forward. But with the complexity of the tax code and the number of calculations on even the simplest filings it can be difficult and confusing.
Turbo Tax provides the guidance necessary and takes the pain out of tax time.

What's great about it: Clear and Concise Guidence; Easy Importing; Great Quality Control
What's not so great: I could live without the screens that attempt to "upsell" me on additional services and products

I Look forward to this!

I actually enjoy doing taxes yearly because I can do it at my own pace, get the answers to my questions, and feel secure that errors will be caught, because there is plenty of help offered along the process. If I were to drop our information off at a tax preparer, I'd wonder how hard they worked to get the maximum deductions, as their time gets more and more stressful as deadline draws near. A wonderfully easy process!
What's great about it: I love all the "Help" available, the detailed descriptions of each item, and that I can back up at any time.
What's not so great: Only a small one - would love to have the state return to be e-filed for free, also (for the one state you use)

TurboTax Tramples Treacherous Taxforms

I used this product to prepare my own and those of two children (dependents) that worked part time. This makes it easy and I don't get charged by the review.
The charitable donations section is nicely detailed and helps estimate when household clothing or goods have been donated to the Salvation Army or Goodwill. It actually helps come up with an estimate for those items given away.
Overall, it is a well-organized manner to get started and make progress in preparing one' taxes.
What's great about it: Simple to Use; Covers categories that might otherwise be forgotten
What's not so great: No quick link to all IRS Forms or Publications; Fee for electronic transfer to one's bank

TurboTax for federal and state returns

I have used TurboTax for the past 20+ years and still swear by it. I will probably use it for another 20+ years since as far as I know, there's nothing out there that can beat it for accuracy and ease of use. The EasyGuide feature takes a lot of the discomfort out of the annual chore. Thanks for a great product, Intuit!

Keeps Getting Better

I've used TurboTax products almost since they started making them, and each year, the program gets easier and easier to use. I used to find it difficult to switch from forms back to step-by-step without having to repeat many steps, but this is fairly seamless in the current edition. I can't say I enjoy doing my taxes, but the little bits of humor and lightheartedness are encouraging. I thought the photos and bios of the CPAs was an interesting touch this year.
What's great about it: Ease of use, sense of humor
What's not so great: I always have to pay more anyway!
