I use Turbo tax for my mother's, brother's and my tax return. My mother is a senior citizen, my brother is working with different deductions then me. The vesitily is great.
What's great about it: Great for indiviuals with different circumstancees
What's not so great: some carry over not checked

This was my first year with Turbo Tax, and I was amazed that it was so easy to use. It took a while to read through everything, but I am certain that I learned a lot and confident that next year, filing will go much quicker. Turbo Tax Deluxe came highly recommended to me, and it certainly got the job done!

Reliable and Easy

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. It makes filing so easy. I often comment that I don't really know where all my deductions come from any more, since I just type in the numbers and the program does all the calculations. But the trade off is just how easy everything is. For someone who has never itemized it might be a factor, because its hard to see just where you are saving on taxes. For people who have done it by hand in the past, it makes it go quick. I will probably continue to use Turbo Tax for the future, and if I have a significant change in income, investments, or types of expenses, will just read through the publications, or click on the "Explain this" options in turbo tax more. Overall, a great product!
What's great about it: I love that it rolls over information from year to year
What's not so great: I have lost track of exactly how I am benefiting from my deductions compared when I used to calculate everything myself
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

We had a pretty complicated tax situation this year and I was worried that it would be a mess in Turbo Tax but it was a breeze! Love Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: It would be nice to have someone double checking the work but with a little double checking I feel good with the results
Pros: I moved, I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Good guide

As a tax professional, was a little difficult to enter things the way I wanted to. Had to manually figure out how to fill out SE tax form when putting other income on line 21. Would like the option right when you enter in the 1099-MISC

I have been using Turbo Tax since 1990 something, I am very pleases with the software. I do my family's taxes every year also and it is just a breeze. It does help to know tax laws and stuff like that, but if you dont, doing the Step By Step is a perfect way to go through the system and get your taxes done right. I have never had a problem, but you must make sure you put in the correct numbers to get the correct results. Go Turbo TAX !!
What's great about it: Software is the Best.
What's not so great: Cant think of anything at this time.
