Information transfer to NC state form is lacking, esp regarding municipal interest and foreign tax. It was only because I already knew the tax code and looked for these deductions that I was able to, eventually, find how to take them. Not the "maximum refund possible"!
What's not so great: state (NC) form was not worth the price

I like the explanations and easy to use answer buttons. I liked the links to more information if I was unsure if I qualified. A great program.

All went well until I had to complete form from 2011 with K-1 data. The data required is not clear and left me with an uneasy feeling on data I entered.
What's great about it: 99 percent worked perfect
What's not so great: K-1 forms are a challenge
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Saved my bacon!

I began using Turbo-Tax about 5 years ago. Prior to that I had a CPA doing it for me. This software seems to get better every year and I love that it loads my info in from the prior year's tax return into the new return.
What's great about it: Thorough, easy to use, and the e-file feature takes away any fears about losing it in the mail.
What's not so great: There's nothing easy about taxes, really. Some of the areas are complicated and it can still be difficult to understand

Been very happy for many years & have used on line other tax software which is no where near TurboTax ease of use.
What's great about it: Easy to use as usual for 15 years
What's not so great: Additional states software $ a bit out of line

I've used Turbo Tax for at least 10 years. Never any problems or issues with the Feds or the State.
