Much easier than I thought

We filed for Chapter 13 in 2012, and I had feared that would make our taxes very complicated! But Turbotax walked me through it, it was very easy, and when all was said and done we are still getting a refund with low risk of audit. Very pleased!!! Just wish the software was a bit cheaper.
What's great about it: Makes it much less complicated!

Easy to use

I've used Turbo Tax for a number of years. Really like the way it lays out the process. Really like not having to retype all the personal and banking info as it picks up the info from the previous years returns so only editing and the occasional addition of info is required.
What's great about it: Walks thru the returns (Fed & State)
What's not so great: Can't think of a valid complaint

This is a great tool to move you through each category. things that you may not have considered - Turbo tax prompts you to consider it.
I always did my own taxes and with the software, it takes half the time.
What's great about it: very easy and prompts you for each category
What's not so great: would like to see the State e-filing free as well

Decent product

In general, I really like TurboTax. I've used it for 6 years and have recommended it over and over again. The only downside is that if you have a question, there's a lot of information and possible explanations, but you have to guess at what situation applies to you. I find that I eventually end up saying to myself "just trust the SW", but that doesn't instill a lot of comfort. I'd love to see a chat feature or a live person where you could say, "here's what I calculated, why is it so different than it was last year?"
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: If you have a question, it's hard to find the answer

Fantastic Product

I have been using Turbo Tax Delux for years. It has been continually improved over that time and is extremely easy to use. And using it every year is like having the same trusted tax accountant every year with perfect memory of your past returns. I highly recommend Turbo Tax to the vast majority of taxpayers.
What's great about it: Super easy to use, getting better every year.
What's not so great: Absolutely none!

TAXES MADE EASIER AND EFFICIENT.

FOR 10 YEARS I HAVE ENJOYED FEATURES FOR TAX SAVINGS AND CREDITS THAT I DID NOT ALWAYS REALIZE WERE AVAILABLE TO ME.
A) EDUCATION DEDUCTIONS AND CREDITS
I COMPLETED GRAD SCHOOL, POST GRAD WORK AND AM NOW IN DOCTORAL WORK, AND THE SYSTEM HELPS ME TRACK KEY DATA AND APPLY IT TO THE NEXT YEAR.

B) ALTERNATIVE INCOME FORMS AND SUPPORTING SCHEDULES PROVED HELPFUL...ALTHOUGH SOME OUTSIDE RESEARCH WAS REQUIRED TO KNOW TO DIG FOR THEM.
C) SELLING A HOME AND RELOCATING SCHEDULES PROVED EASIER WITH TURBOTAX.
What's great about it: PROVIDES FEATURES I DID NOT KNOW I NEEDED:
What's not so great: IT WAS NOT APPARENT THAT ALL MY NEEDS WERE THERE, UNTIL I DUG AROUND TO FIND IT.

Turbotax 2012

Filing taxes with Turbotax 2012 is a breeze. Software guides you step by step and does all calculations for you. I used Turbo tax for over 8 years. It is a lesser hassle than dealing with my former accountant and it costs 1/15th of his fees.
What's great about it: great software, easy to use
What's not so great: none
