Good guide easy to use

it's an excellent tax resource and guide, it provides help when you are not familiar with the IRS rules and helps you determine if a requirement or deduction applies to your situation. it sure speeds up the process and gets you familiar with how to improve your prep for next year. used it to start to become familiar with rules on SS payments and retirement income i'll need in a few years. have used turbo tax since the early 90's. it teaches me more about taxes each year.
What's great about it: it's thorough and complete, helps me find all deductions and ont lose due to lack of knowledge of all tax rules
What's not so great: would like to be able to jump in and out of the questions sequence and jump in in a specificd place when i want to

using It's deductible

I like the idea of It's Deductible, but better integration of info would improve it. The values entered seemed OK, with the option to indication Hi or Medium value a good extra. I wasn't really sure how the values were assigned, but that's OK. The problem started with I reviewed my final forms before submitting and saw that I was donating a generic Household Items instead of books to the library. The only way I could fix that was to go back and change from using ID to entering values myself. A bit irksome. ALSO, I would like to be able to enter all of the books with a date of "Various" rather than actually entering the exact dates (which I know because I have library receipts.)
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: ALL deductions that I entered (e.g., Books) showed up as houldhold

The tax software is logically laid out and the questions are asked in a simple, understandable maner so that putting the necessary information in is easy. Not complicated at all.
What's great about it: Questions made everything simple to input properly

Turbo Tax Takes The Blue Ribbon

Turbo Tax is way ahead of the crowded wait in line pop up in January store front disappear in May businesses. Answer your income and deductible questions in the privacy of your own home instead of avoiding the embarrassing truth caused when the person across the desk asks confusing questions.
What's great about it: Easy, Fast, AND Low Cost
What's not so great: Can't opt out of Information start screen
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

As with the past, a simple way to file your taxes

I've used TurboTax for over ten years. I also suggest its use to all of my friends.
Each year the user interface gets better and more user friendly including, help links (IRS and TurboTAx# beside any response field that may be misunderstood. Also, I really like the summary display for all income #and informational data) categories. This allows a quick review and correlation with the tax documents. E-filing is simple. Software installation is smooth and timely,
I'll continue to use TurboTax until the last year that I have to file tax documents--I hope this is many years into to the future.
What's great about it: The help links are excellent and written in ordinary english. The entry fields allow correction and program editing.
What's not so great: I can't think of any negatives.

Best Tool for the Worst Job

As always, it was a pleasure and relief to be able to use Turbo Tax to fill out our personal income taxes. I would not even consider using another product to do this work. I have been using Turbo Tax for years and by the Grace of God will continue to do so for many years to come.
What's great about it: Easy, professional, consistent, intelligent system for filling out an accurate tax return.
What's not so great: Keeps me from cussing out the IRS and our out of control federal government
