Turbo Tax is by far the best

I used to be a CPA before becoming a Physician. I prepared thousands of returns my self in the 1990's. I can tell yu that no software then or now compares to the incredibly accurate and user friendly turbo tax.
What's great about it: incredibly easy yet detailed

So easy a caveman could do it

If a caveman were to wake up after thousands of years of hibernation and find that he was suddenly subject to the IRS TurboTax is the tool he will need to stay out of trouble

Detailed, Intuitive Flow, and reliable

Downloading of 1099-B data was an issue for me. Entering the data manually worked much smoother. Overall, I am very pleased with TutrboTax.
What's great about it: Simplified Flow for the detail oriented user
What's not so great: Sale and other disposition of capital assets could be improved
Pros: I bought or sold investments

printing return

Should make it clear up front that a printable copy of the return will be readily available once you reach a certain point.
What's great about it: once you get through it is clear how this is done...
What's not so great: however, when you think you should be at a place to print return you are sent through a maze of how too articles.

I like Turbo-Tax and have used it for many years. Didn't like having to pay extra to efile my state return. This should be included in the Deluxe package.
What's great about it: Easy download, user friendly

E.A.U.!! (Excellent As Usual)

ME: I am an engineer and am very detail oriented. I have used your product for many years. I don't want to file an erroneous return because of my ignorance about a topic (i.e MRD's) or making a data entry error inadvertantly. So the more you can build into TurboTax that address those two issues, the more I will cherish the use of TurboTax. Thank you.
What's great about it: The step by step procedure; the ability to display more information on areas I did not fully understand ; efiling
What's not so great: When reopening a in-process return-the program doesn't always go to last entry; quick access to Adj Gross Inc anywhere

2012 Turbo Tax

Been usingTurbo Tax for a decade or so now. Seems to get more user friendly every year. If you haven't used it before, give it a try.
It costs money but not as much as an accountant. If your records are together you can do a medium difficulty return in about 1 hr.
