Turbo Tax is frustrating

I was trying to file my state taxes and Turbo Tax crossed my mother's information with mine. I am Karin she is Kathy-I think it was confused by 2-K's. Sad but true, now I have to figure out if I need to file an amended return due to your error. Sad.
What's great about it: It is thorough.
What's not so great: It crossed my information with my mothers :(

It's so easy

I've used Turbo Tax for years and every year it gets easier. When I started working as an independent contractor I had someone else do my taxes the first year but even he told me I could handle it by myself using Turbo Tax. I just love this product and recommend it to everyone who asks.
What's great about it: Ease of use, catches deductions I might miss, step by step, handles my business taxes
What's not so great: nothing

Always a Little Better Than Before

We have been using Turbo Tax Deluxe for close to 10 straight years and have always appreciated its overall simplicity. I can't really imagine that an accountant would be able to find more deductions based on my paperwork as TT asks about every scrap I have and then some every year. The E-filing is always a plus and makes our returns that much quicker. It's a great program.
What's great about it: Step by step, everything on-screen to review, comparative numbers to last year
What's not so great: Still time-consuming, needs an easier method to input donations individually
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2012 Turbo tax

I like using turbo tax for the amount of money I spend on the software and the benifits I get from it you cannot beat it.
What's great about it: I like that i can use Turbo tax and ask professional CPA's and Tax lawyers direct questions about many varied tax issues
What's not so great: Con's are ion me for not being as organized as I should

TT 2012 Review

I have used TT for the last dozen years and find it to be very helpful in preparing my return. With the myriad of forms and details I have to prepare; using Turbo Tax is essential.
Earlier in life I wrote out the forms and prepared calculations by hand. I consider myself to be above average in intelligence. I cannot imagine being able to hand write my tax forms now. The complexity of the worksheets and calculations required would take me many days to prepare.
I do find areas where the program is lacking. At times there are complicated IRS questions that do not get adequate explanation in TT. I lose confidence with the results when the questions aren't entirely clear and the links to the IRS documents do not fully answer the questions.
Overall, it is a great program and I'll continue to be a customer in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use and import previous returns
What's not so great: Sometimes in depth IRS details are not clearly explained

An Hour to Dollars

Second year I've used Turbo-Tax and saved $300 on preparations cost AND received larger returns than expected. Thank you, turbo tax!
