Have been using Turbotax since it came out years ago...it just gets eaiser every year.
What's great about it: My 6 year old coulld have done my taxes it was so simple.
What's not so great: none

Would like to see another option

When doing the federal return, it asks for a dollar amount to be applied to next year's taxes. I often don't know the amount yet. I would like to see an option "Apply total refund to next year's taxes", and then have TurboTax adjust the amount as additional information is added to the program. Perhaps you could leave a dollar amount field for people who want that, and then a percentage field for people like me who want to apply 100% (or 50%, etc.) to next year. Or, make the option available at the END of the process when the dollar amount is known.

Best Tax Software Out There!

We've been using Turbo-Tax since it first hit the market.
It's so easy to use! It imports all the mundane info, the IRS needs, from last years returns, so I don't have to type it into their forms.
The simple question and answer format fills in the IRS and state forms behind the scenes, and e-filing is a snap.
Plus I get my refund super fast too.

TurboTax RULES!

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. I recommend it to all my friends because it's so easy and takes the headache out of doing taxes.
What's great about it: Super easy, quick and accurate
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I could repeat the word "Great" until I reach 50 characters but that would be redundant.

Not quite as good as previous years

I would download the state (Virginia) and then click to begin the state return and it would begin downloading the state data again. I had to close Turbo Tax and reopen from scratch to finally get it done.
I also wanted a definition of qualified dividends-it explained where to see it, but I couldn't find exactly what made a divident qualified.

What's great about it: Carryover from last year's data, easy input of data
What's not so great: Download of state returns caught in loop, definitions could be better

Good TurboTax Experience

1. Turbotax always offers a nice, easy to follow approach;
2. When doing software updates, Turbotax shuts down and doesn't re-start, even though it says it will;
3. Whenever re-opening the software to continue inputting tax information, this year's version restarts at the beginning of the program. In previous years, it picked-up where I left off from my last inputs.

Simply put, Turbo Tax allowed me to be in control of my taxes without needing to be a CPA. Will use it from here on.
