I liked the way Turbo Tax Deluxe set up its own files to save to, explained filing options, and offered in-depth explainations regarding terms that customers might not recognize.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax was easy and understandable.
What's not so great: You should offer your audit defense for free or less $

Great Program

I have used Turbo Tax for the past 10 years. I love how simple it is and how it walks you all the way through from start to finish. I am not expert on taxes and their program is wonderful.
What's great about it: Simple & hassle free
What's not so great: you actually have to take time to do it
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Really good

Form 8283 had a question that your software prompted me to answer (Donor's Cost Basis). Later, after reviewing records, I had to change my answer. I had no idea how to do that. I didn't know the "forms" icon allowed me to edit. It may sound silly, but it would be nice if you explained that going forward.
What's great about it: step by step instructions
What's not so great: wasn't clear on how to edit taxforms

TurboTax Rock and Roll

I used TurboTax because it handles complicated tax returns. In my case with retirement, consulting business, and investment income. Deductions from retirement, business and investments. Day to day personal deductions such as property taxes and interest.
TurboTax will download my 1099 and other forms from my bank and investment firms.
TurboTax guaranty my tax return accuracy.

What's great about it: TurboTax is the Rolls Royce of tax software
What's not so great: TurboTax also is expensive like the Rolls Royce
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have used TT for about 6 years now. My kids use it. We all like it and keep coming back.
What's great about it: Had some stock stuff to do and had never done that before. TT got me thru it.
What's not so great: Not much. Most of my problems came from not reading the question all the way thur carefully enough the first time.
