Once Again, The Best!

As stated in the Cons, the packaging indicates which Mac OS is required, but NOT which model. I have an iMac with Intel Core Duo (a 6 yr. old system) and this TT version requires an Intel Core 2 Duo. Fortunately, I have a Mac Book Pro that meets those requirements. Major draw back is I cannot store all of my returns on a single system. Not convenient!
I also object to the additional "convenience fees" to pay for filing returns. Don't know of a merchant that charges me an extra fee for using a credit card for their goods or services.
All in all, I will continue to use this program and file b snail mail.
What's great about it: Very intuitive, easy to use and understand. Plenty of "Help" and "Explain This" screens.
What's not so great: Did not specify what model i Mac would work. Will not run on a Intel Core Duo. OK on Core 2 Duo
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Energy credit

Turbo-Tax does not provide state forms for special credits, in my case energy credit. Had to go to the state website to retrieve it, fill per hand and mail return.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: Does not have all state forms

Quick and easy

I really like that Turbo Tax keeps my information from year to year thus saving me lots of time that would have been taken up by entering the same basic information.
Turbo Tax alerted me that I needed to send some forms to the IRS even though I filed electronically. I doubt I would have known that.
Turbo Tax takes me through many scenarios so that I am sure to get all the deductions possible without neglecting liabilities.
What's great about it: Cuts down on mistakes I would have made

Easy to use from year to year

I could probably do this by paper and pencil myself but Turbotax cuts the time by at least half. The best feature is that it imports your previous year's info.
What's great about it: that it imports last year's info
What's not so great: needs to be more clear that deluxe doesn't include state efile

2012 Return
on March 23, 2013

Great software, but PA State return had several places where information had to be enter or re-entered. Would have been easier just to enter all the info in the first place.
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step instructions
What's not so great: PA State return needed additional info

Turbo Tax Deluxe

I have used Turbo tax for a few years now and find it easy and quick to complete taxes. Being able to bring in the prior year to compare is very helpful as is the ItsDeductable program that you use to track your charitable deductions through the year.
Seems much better to use Turbo Tax than to go to a Tax return in a box place where they are using the same thing or some software very similar. Why pay more
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use. Seems very complete. Love the easy E-file and voucher prints
What's not so great: Only con is it prints way too much out at the end.

One less thing to worry about

All in all, TurboTax makes doing taxes a little bit easier. I feel confident that all the forms and filings are up-to-date, my information is secure, and that my return is accurate. I enjoy the fact that I can now pull data directly from my bank, rather than having to type in all my details. I just wish that e-filing the state was free.
What's great about it: easy to use, walks you through options, pulls info from other sources
What's not so great: seemed to take longer to download this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Some of the questions require a knowledge of financial terms that are difficult to answer for the average person. Had to contact stock holding company to clarify some answers.
What's great about it: Easy questions
What's not so great: unable to transfer a file that was started on another computer
