I used to try to slug through all the forms before I used Turbo Tax but now it's very easy and I feel secure that hey have covered all the bases.

Do a little more computation

My NYS 529 contributions are recorded and displayed by TurboTax but it still asks me to enter the total. That seems like an unnecessary step.

What's not so great: Didn't calculate everything it should have been able to

What a relief

The explanations are really clear and concise, which is amazing considering the obtuse subject matter. Having the program pick out and transfer data between the various forms is really a godsend. I was afraid my return would be a hassle this year, but with Turbotax it was a snap!

Turbo tax really helps!

TurboTax is very detailed but there are still terms that I'm not fully sure of when filing....I need to keep better tax records than I have in previous years to ensure max retun. Otherwise its a great step by step system.
What's great about it: the detailed reviewing

Quick and Easy

Having my tax info imported each and every year from the previous year, I only need to update a few items. It is easy and I feel very confident that the return is correct and I am getting the best guidance possible.

Once your data is entered the filing is super smooth.
What's great about it: Has all the forms you need and automatic updates are quick.
What's not so great: As a former tax preparer the step by step process can be annoying.
