A neccessary piece of software

The older versions better enabled going back and checking items or making changes. This was done by clicking on an outline of all the steps. Directions need to be included to better explain how to use individual forms.
What's great about it: good detailed steps
What's not so great: help files need to be easier to understand

Easy enough

Overall, I love Turbo Tax. My sister and I have been using it for years. I used to do both our tax returns by hand and mail them in, but for the past few years she does her own and I only have to worry about my own.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Can't go back to one to double check something. I wanted to check specific info and had to review whole state section.

Quick and easy, yet very thorough

Other tax software used to give me issues getting job-related vehicle expenses entered correctly. Even got audited because of those issues- twice. TurboTax has gotten every detail correct every year since I made the switch it TurboTax. No more audits!

I have used Turbo tax for 15 years. The one year I went to a tax service is the year we got audited. I will stick with turbo tax.
What's great about it: straight forward; built in calculator; online help

Easy Self-Guided Tour through Gov't red tape

Easy step by step self-guided tour through the Government's IRS Code. Unless you have some complex tax matters that require you to use a reliable tax attorney or IRS savvy CPA, this is the way to go. Reliable and economical ... and there is live support a phone call away. Keep in mind certain times of the day will dictate your hold time. You don't need to have any tax tables or instructions in front of you ... just your own numbers that you plug in.

What's not so great: Make sure you read and answer each question
